Humanities Unbounded Visiting Faculty Fellowships

Beginning in 2011, Duke has offered fellowships for faculty from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Liberal Arts Colleges. Through Humanities Writ Large we brought 27 faculty to campus for year-long, or semester-long, engagements. Under Humanities Unbounded we have brought another 11 faculty for a residential year and a second year of supplemental funding to assist the fellows in bringing new approaches to teaching and scholarship to their home institutions and to maintain their collaborations with Duke partners. The Fellowships have underscored the role of the humanities as an engine for knowledge production.
