Lyndsay Al-Shibli partnered with Karrie Stewart, Professor of the Practice of Global Health and Cultural Anthropology at Duke, to work on Al-Shibi's course HUM-115, Critical Thinking. They incorporated case study assignments that allow students to apply their new skills in a real-world setting. They also explored introducing visual course materials such as videos, blogs, music, body-mapping and graphic comics to enrich student learning and deepen their capacity for empathy and communication with patients or clients.
