Duke Associate Professor Emeritus William Buford Jones, 91, of Durham, passed away at Hillcrest Convalescent Center, July 7, 2024, after a long illness.Jones taught in the Department of English for 50 years. Mohamed Noor has been named executive vice provost effective July 1, 2024, Duke Provost Alec D.
