Visiting Faculty Fellow

​​​​​​​Collie Fulford is Associate Professor and Director of First-year Writing at the NCCU Department of Language and Literature. She is also the former President of Carolinas Writing Program Administrators.

Fulford has multiple Duke partnerships planned, around studying the literate lives of adult HBCU students. She will work with the Franklin Humanities Institute and the Digital Humanities Initiative, continuing productive working relationships begun when she was an FHI-NCCU Digital Humanities Fellow. She will also partner with Denise Comer, Director of Duke's First-Year Writing Program, and with Deondra Rose, Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Political Science.
